1: Call of Duty: ModernWarfare 3
2: Battlefield 3
3: Gears of War 3
4: Halo Anniversary
5: I like shooters, but none of these!
I SOMEWHAT implied that you should like shooters to vote..
So when I tried out these games, I had to notice that there seems to be a trend here. Not only are almost all of the games the third sequel, but they all did not quite add much to the previous titles. Hopefully this means they are just taking a break, and they will come out with some new things come a year or two. All of these games have improvements, but you'll notice that nothing eye-opening is really done here. However, after playing the campaign of MW3, they did make a much better single player mode than the last couple games, and GOW3 continues with the unique plot/theme. I guess it just matters on what people are looking to buy.
For me, out of these games, I've only purchased Battlefield 3 I've played them all now. But to be honest I haven't tried out the new Halo yet, but from what I've seen it isn't much different (halo). When I tried out these games I was dissapointed with a lot of the multiplayer action. Some people do really like some of the new games' multiplayer gameplay, but I'm a fan of the older ones that I think have a good combination to make it fun. The games I had the most fun with are Halo 3 and Modern Warfare2, for me. I haven't played an earlier battlefield, which is probably why it may seem much more fresh to me.
I feel that these are the strong points for each:
MW3 - Campagin, extra multiplayer features
BF3 - Fun, realistic multiplayer... and has great vehicle warfare
GoW3 - Continues the saga, slightly improves online battles, decent other online modes
H:ceA - For those who haven't played the first, or just want expensive maps for reach ![]()
Other - killzone 3, deus ex, there are definitely reasons for other good shooters!
Throw me your comments below and vote on your favorite if you are a shooter player!

My vote goes to battlefield 3 for being more innovative with the vehicle combat and making it fun. There is a learning curve, and the gun fighting may not be as smooth as CoD, but still quite awesome imo.
If I had to vote for a second best out of these, I'd have to say modern warfare 3 for its campaign gameplay... even though I like to consider it 2.5 ![]()
Deus Ex also has an amazing plot. The gameplay was a little challenging though and had a different feel compared with most modern shooters.
